Everyone Welcome

A warm welcome to home-ed, EOTAS and SEND families

STEM by the Sea was built with home education in mind — hands-on science practicals and design technology projects that can be hard to do when home schooling. Children in Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) are just as welcome, and children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are warmly welcomed too — groups are kept small, sessions are calm and hands-on, and activities can be adapted. Just tell Andy a little about your child and he’ll help you find the right fit.

When: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am–5:30pm, Wednesday 9am–4:30pm and Friday 9am–12 noon, with Saturday mornings (10am–12 noon) available by enquiry. Group workshops run 10am–12 noon, with tutoring, after-school workshops and private sessions in the afternoons. See the weekly timetable.

No one should miss out because of cost

We are planning to keep a number of funded and subsidised places available for families who need them. If cost is a worry, please just ask — a quiet word is all it takes, and every child is welcome here. We hope to launch these in early 2027.

Schools, Groups, Families & Visitors

We can come to you

Andy is happy to visit schools, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, youth clubs and community groups to run hands-on science, design & technology or coastal sessions — across Bridlington, the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. If you’d like to talk about a visit, a STEM day or a badge session, please get in touch.

Visiting the Yorkshire coast? Families from all over the country are welcome to book family activities and beach crafts while they’re on holiday in the area, or if they’re happy to travel.
